This is my personal article relating to the dating book,
Double
Your Dating by David DeAngelo review.
The full title of the ebook is Double Your Dating: What Every Man Should Know About How To Be Successful With Women (Second Edition). David DeAngelo begins to introduce readers that his ebook is not the be all and end all reference guide to being successful with women. However, it does provide a very solid grounding and explains foundational principles that most men would need to know to be successful with women.
Double Your Dating is more of a general book that teaches
men how to be successful with women more naturally. He
stresses that men need to not only read the book but go out
in the real world, approach women and try the attraction
techniques that he teaches. The book was written from
David's own learning experience from trying to attract
women himself. From being unsuccessful, to somewhat
successful to the dating guru he now is. He also stresses
the fact that many men seem to believe that they know how
to attract women, when in fact the opposite is true.
I know this myself, as I have many friends who think they know how to be successful with women, but yet can't seem to get anything other than the local bush pig at the bar. The book covers a popular topic publicized by the media, whereby women or girls often accuse the men trying to chase them and put on a persona that is considered "not being themselves". That is why being "just themselves" is also going to repel women. Instead, by learning the material and internalizing the information provided in the book, men are able to learn what truly attracts the opposite sex and integrate this into their true personality. He further outlines the psychological influences relating to attraction that has existed for thousands of years that have not changed till this modern day. He stresses the fact that there are inherent differences between the sexes in relation to how they feel, act and behave. Thus by understanding this, and instead of acting like a confused men (who try to act like emotional women) guys are able to become more successful with women. This is done by getting rid of the inner wuss inside of men.
Misconceptions dispelled
David further then goes to clarify the misconception that women are only interested in tall, handsome, powerful or wealthy men. This is not true. Instead, David explains why these characteristics may seem attractive to women, then he provides you with skills and theory that allow you to artificially manufacture the attraction triggers inside the women's head and embed this "new you" into your existing personality. The book states that attraction building requires the eliciting of specific emotional feelings. The best way to communicate this between a male and female is through the personality of the man. Further, all the "ass kissing" and "wussy" behavior such as attempting to to buy women's attention is discouraged and explained in detail. The ebook focuses on transforming the natural tendencies for men to act like a little boy around attractive women (such as trying to buy gifts for them) into being sexy and charming seduction experts. styles of men that really attract women. He goes on to
explain that women are attracted to some types of men who
are perceived to be aggressive because this communicates
protection, security and provides a outlook whereby the
woman will feel safe with. David really understands the
reasons as to why nice guys always finish last and why bad
guys get the girls. His information is very insightful and
further clarifies the topic in detail.
End of chapter exercises
There are also personal exercises for readers to complete at the end of every chapter. These are essential to develop the skills required to attract women. Most men seem to have fear of women because they are inexperienced or think too much. Thus, these exercises are created specifically to counter the inner limitations most men impose upon themselves when it comes to becoming successful with women. The entire book concentrates on improving the attitudes of
men, and instead of reinforcing negative beliefs, it
switches the old paradigms that do not work into new
empowering beliefs. David gives good strategies on how
to not allow the fear approaching women prevent men
from succeeding with women. What was
really memorable about the book was that I felt as if
David DeAngelo himself was speaking to me, especially about
my past fears of being rejected. I feel that he truly
understands how men think when it comes to this topic.
